Clean gutters safely
-
Set the ladder right.
Firm ground, one metre out per four up, never on the gutter itself. A second person makes it twice as safe.
-
Belly stays between the rails.
Move the ladder instead of reaching sideways. Overreach is the whole accident statistic.
-
Scoop toward the downpipe.
Gloves and a scoop into a hung bucket. Working away from the downpipe pushes debris into it.
-
Flush and watch the flow.
Hose at the far end. Water backing up means the downpipe is packed: rod it from the top.
-
Do it twice a year.
After leaf-fall and after spring seeds. Overflowing gutters quietly write the biggest repair bills in the house.

#1 becomes the Core. This atoma is young: submit a better distillation and take the seat.
No gear needed. Your pot, a timer and ice are enough. That is the point.
