Winterize the lawn mower
-
Run the tank dry or stabilise it.
Old petrol gums the carburettor into a spring repair bill. Petrol mowers: run empty or add stabiliser and run five minutes.
-
Disconnect power sources first.
Spark plug cap off, battery out and stored frost-free, before any hand goes near the deck.
-
Scrape the deck clean.
Tipped correctly (air filter up), scrape the grass concrete off: it holds moisture against the steel all winter.
-
Sharpen or note the blade.
Off with marked orientation, vice, file along the factory edge, balanced on a nail. Or at least write "blade!" on the spring to-do.
-
Oil, dry, elevate.
Metal wiped with oil, stored dry, ideally off the cold floor. Electric mowers: cable checked and coiled loose.

#1 becomes the Core. This atoma is young: submit a better distillation and take the seat.
No gear needed. Your pot, a timer and ice are enough. That is the point.
