Fix the lawn in autumn
-
Scarify out the thatch.
A scarifier or spring rake pulls the dead felt layer out so water and air reach the roots again.
-
Aerate the compacted runs.
Fork or hollow-tine the paths and play zones. Compaction, not drought, kills most lawn patches.
-
Overseed the gaps now.
Autumn soil is warm and wet: seed germinates in days and roots before winter, with no summer weed competition.
-
Feed low-nitrogen, high-potassium.
Autumn fertiliser hardens the grass for frost. Spring fertiliser now would force soft growth that winter kills.
-
Keep mowing until growth stops.
Last cut slightly higher, around 5 cm, and never into wet mush. Long grass mats; scalped grass freezes.

#1 becomes the Core. This atoma is young: submit a better distillation and take the seat.
No gear needed. Your pot, a timer and ice are enough. That is the point.
