Water the garden right
-
Water deep and rarely.
A soaking twice a week grows deep roots. A sprinkle every day grows shallow ones that die in the first heat.
-
Water the soil, not the leaves.
At the base, under the foliage. Wet leaves in sun scorch and wet leaves at night mould.
-
Go early in the morning.
Before the heat, so the water goes down instead of up. Evening is second best.
-
Check with a finger, not a calendar.
Two knuckles into the soil. Damp means wait, dry means water.
-
Mulch to keep what you gave.
A hand-width of mulch halves evaporation and the weeds too.

#1 becomes the Core. This atoma is young: submit a better distillation and take the seat.
No gear needed. Your pot, a timer and ice are enough. That is the point.
