Seal a bathtub with clean silicone
-
Remove every trace of the old seal.
Scrape it out, then a solvent remover. New silicone will not bond to old silicone.
-
Dry the joint completely.
Twenty-four hours if it was wet behind. Trapped moisture is what breeds the black mould.
-
Fill the bath with water first.
The tub drops under load. Sealing empty means the joint tears the first time you bathe.
-
Lay one continuous bead.
Cut the nozzle at 45 degrees, move steadily, never stop mid-run.
-
Tool it once and leave it.
A wet finger or tool in one pass. Going back over it is what ruins the finish.

#1 becomes the Core. This atoma is young: submit a better distillation and take the seat.
No gear needed. Your pot, a timer and ice are enough. That is the point.
