Deadlift a kettlebell with a flat back
-
Stand over the bell.
Bell between mid-feet, feet hip-width, shins vertical.
-
Hinge and grip.
Hips back, flat back, both hands on the horn. Shoulders stay over the bell.
- Arms straight: they are hooks, not lifters
- Eyes on the floor a meter ahead
-
Wedge yourself tight.
Pull shoulders down, squeeze the lats, take the slack out of your arms before anything moves.
-
Push the floor away.
Stand in one piece: hips and chest rise together. Lock out tall, glutes on.
-
Hinge it home.
Reverse the same path: hips back first, bell lands quietly between the feet.
