Hang curtains that make rooms taller
-
Mount high.
Two-thirds of the way from frame to ceiling, or fifteen centimetres up. High rods pull the eye up and grow the room.
-
Go wide past the window.
Rod ends twenty to thirty centimetres beyond the frame so open curtains reveal glass, not block it.
-
Double the fabric width.
Curtains at two times the window width fall in full folds. Skimpy width reads like hung bedsheets.
-
Kiss the floor.
Hem touching or one centimetre above. Flood-length is the single most common curtain mistake.
-
Fix into plugs, not plaster.
Proper anchors for the brackets, a centre bracket past two metres of span.

#1 becomes the Core. This atoma is young: submit a better distillation and take the seat.
No gear needed. Your pot, a timer and ice are enough. That is the point.
