Lay click flooring in a room
-
Acclimatise the packs.
Forty-eight hours flat in the room. Boards laid straight from the van grow gaps or peaks.
-
Level and underlay first.
Bumps over three millimetres per metre get ground or filled. Underlay is the floor’s suspension.
-
Plan the first and last row together.
Measure so the last row keeps at least half a board width. A sliver row against the wall looks like an accident.
-
Keep the expansion gap everywhere.
Ten millimetre spacers at every wall and pipe. Floors float; a pinned floor buckles in summer.
-
Stagger the joints.
Offsets of at least thirty centimetres, no H-patterns. Start rows with the previous row’s offcut.

#1 becomes the Core. This atoma is young: submit a better distillation and take the seat.
No gear needed. Your pot, a timer and ice are enough. That is the point.
