Settle a baby to sleep
-
Run the same short routine.
Bath or wash, sleep sack, dim light, one song, bed. Fifteen minutes, identical order, every night. The routine is the signal.
-
Watch the wake window, not the clock.
Rubbing eyes and turning away means now; an overtired baby fights sleep hardest.
-
Put them down drowsy but awake.
Falling asleep in the cot is the skill. Falling asleep on you and waking in the cot is the surprise that wakes them hourly.
-
Keep the sleep space safe and boring.
Own flat surface, back position, sleep sack, nothing loose in the cot, room comfortably cool.
-
Pause before rushing in.
Babies grumble between cycles. A minute of waiting often lets them resettle; instant pickup finishes the waking.

#1 becomes the Core. This atoma is young: submit a better distillation and take the seat.
No gear needed. Your pot, a timer and ice are enough. That is the point.
