Polish leather shoes
-
Clean and let them dry.
Brush the dust off, wipe the welt. Polish over grit grinds it into the leather.
-
Condition first if they look dry.
Cream feeds the leather. Wax alone on dry leather cracks it over time.
-
Apply wax in small circles.
A thin coat with a cloth over your fingers. Thick polish never buffs out properly.
-
Let it haze, then brush.
Fifteen minutes, then a horsehair brush in fast strokes.
-
Buff with a cloth for shine.
A drop of water on the toe cap and light circles build the mirror finish.
